Entered Thailand on 5th November with a UK passport. Left on 6th January and was fined for two days overstay. Unintentional just a minor administrative issue.
I plan to return on 1st April until 4th April for a tattoo and online work. I have onward travel booked. Likelihood of being granted entry?
I assume it will be no problem but just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation with the current restrictions being tightened. TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, who unintentionally overstayed their visa by two days, is planning to return to Thailand for a short visit and inquires about the likelihood of being granted entry again. Various community members share mixed experiences and opinions regarding the potential impact of the overstay on re-entry, noting that discretion lies with the customs officer and emphasizing the importance of having the necessary documentation and being polite during re-entry. Some suggest looking into the proper visa for remote work, while others discuss the necessity of having cash on hand and managing red flags that could affect entry.
If it was a issue you would of been told when you got your fine, unless you dont listen to Authority read the reciept you got if nothing is stated move on from it & enjoy your next Trip.
Did your passport get marked? I was a day over once when presented my passport is had 500b in it and said this for my 1 dsy OS he put money on his desk and stamped me out
So so busy working in Thailand and yet fail to see the deadline date in YOUR passport. If you are going to push the boundaries on the time spent here….then you’d better know the date you must leave. It’s on you.
Todd Capron I have never worked in Thailand. My prior entry was for leisure. My next entry will be to work on a CV , apply to jobs in my next destination and get a tattoo. Admittedly I didn’t look at the stamp in my passport, i knew I had 60 days but mistakenly thought I arrived on the 6th when it was in fact the 4th
If you're planning visa exempt it will depend on your history in Thailand prior to your November entry, the overstay won't matter. But if you want to work remotely from Thailand you need an appropriate visa, there are only 2 to choose from so I suggest you look at the DTV before coming which is designed for online work.
I have never overstayed a visa before in Thailand or anywhere else.
The work is applying to jobs and working on a CV for my final destination, so not paid employment. But I am aware that employment work would require an alternative visa. Thank you 🙏
PositiveTulip2843 the question wasn't whether you had overstayed before or not it was about your history of being in Thailand prior to your November entry. That's will be what the immigration officer will look at
**unintentional**.... Hey man, you don't have to try to bullshit us. You're anonymous.... You know it wasn't unintentional. We know it wasn't unintentional.
My friend did similar and went to Cambodia for a visit recently and was sent back ie refused entry. Had a right phhafffff getting a visa in Cambodia. I guess all the "it'll be ok " guys dont really know the conditions NOW.
It caused a bit of a hiccup as I had to go to immigration in Khon Kaen over the condo we rented, they thought I had overstayed from July as I didn’t have an exit stamp (digital passport readers that don’t stamp your passport when you leave) but I showed them flight details and explained that my exit was through the scan your passport system.
They kindly stamped my passport as arriving on the 11Dec
Lesson learned I don’t use the automatic passport checks I go to the boths to the left and get passport stamped
