Hello. I would like to renew the 2 year temporary driving license which will be expired in June. Is it possible to renew with 4 months left? I am living in Pattaya now. Can I renew in Cha am DLT? After getting the 5 years driving license.

I also want to get the international driving license at the same day. Do I need 2 residence certificate and medical certificate? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about renewing their two-year temporary driving license, which expires in June, with four months remaining. They seek to know if they can renew it at the Cha Am DLT office while living in Pattaya and if they can obtain an international driving license on the same day. It is noted that a five-year driving license is needed for the International Driving Permit (IDP), which cannot be issued at Banglamung DLT but at Chonburi instead. Users mention the necessity of residence and medical certificates but confirm that renewal is possible where you hold a residence certificate.

actually I did. Last year for 5K. Waste of money, really. Only saved me to wait a immigration and go for the doctor certificate.

I was told I had to renew mine at the dlt office I got my 2 year at which I did. I think you need the 5 year to get the IDP
