TLDR : Answer Summary
Concerns have been raised about a high number of fake profiles in expat groups seeking help, particularly following recent visa regulations. Admins review all joining members and posts, rejecting many suspected fake accounts. The surge in posts may be linked to visa agents taking payments without the ability to provide promised services, leading to ongoing scams in the community.

It may seem that way.
Every single person that joins to group has to apply to join and is reviewed by the admins before being approved. We reject dozens of fake accounts and bots per week, so those that make it in are generally accounts that have been around for a while and aren't in a huge amount of groups, have no friends etc.
Also every single post has to be reviewed by the admins before it's allowed to be published and we reject plenty of posts as well.
When it comes to things like this they tend to be cyclical. Especially with the recent crackdowns on Non-ED and Non-O volunteer visas, it's likely that some agents had accepted money from customers and then found out they could no longer get the visas they had promised their customers. Rather than provide a refund they just string the customer along and keep the money. It's not surprising there's many posts at the same because that's how it usually happens with these things.
Be aware that there is no regulation of visa agents, they are not registered anywhere and there is no guarantees. Buyer beware when it comes to these matters, and the recent posts will be far from the last over the coming days, weeks, months and years.
