Why are some Thai immigration offices using the correct terminology for "Extension of Stay Permit" instead of "visa extension"?

Today the Immigration Buriram made my day!

Finally, they stopped calling the "Extension of Stay Permit" a "visa extension"

Now they use the correct wording

at my Immigration Sisaket, it is still called "visa extension" , regardless there technically is nothing such

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reports that the Immigration office in Buriram has started using the correct term "Extension of Stay Permit" instead of the commonly misused term "visa extension." This change has been positively received, especially compared to experiences in other regions such as Sisaket where the incorrect terminology is still used. The user also notes the efficiency of immigration services in Issan areas, highlighting quick processing times.

The thing I like most about these Issan immigration offices are the times to completion. Nong Khai's are about the same and they are true to their word. TM30 took all of 7 minutes.
