Aloha. If I have 10 days on the way back from Australia to stop in either Thailand or Sri Lanka... going through Sri Lanka being about 250 euros more expensive. What would you choose? Seems like traveling in Sri Lanka will probably be easier than Thailand at the moment. Thailand is apparently still not much ready for tourists and everywhere is empty. Amd Sri Lanka is much easier to enter with their requirements atm, also 0 day quarantine compared to thailand's 1 day. But for 10 days the price difference seems a fair bit...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering a 10-day stopover on the way back from Australia to either Thailand or Sri Lanka, weighing the higher cost of traveling to Sri Lanka against what appears to be a more favorable entry experience there compared to Thailand. Comments suggest that while Sri Lanka has beautiful scenery and wildlife, getting around may be challenging. In contrast, Thailand's entry requirements and current readiness for tourists have raised concerns, with potential expenses for tests influencing the decision.

If you like wildlife, Sri Lanka is hard to beat — elephants, dolphins, cool birds and, if you’re there at the right time of year, blue whales.

Sri Lanka is beautiful, bit getting around takes a bit of perseverance, bit well worth it, got to see plenty on a 10 day holiday there in

You're going to spend close to that amount on your test & go and PCR test on your way out, assuming you qualify. But prices inside Thailand are lower due to no tourists.

Yep, cheapest going price I've seen for a test and go is $100

Uhm depends what you want to do or see.

Not sure what you mean by not ready for tourists.
