TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on finding a live-in nanny for their dog while traveling. Community responses suggest several resources, including Thailand-specific Facebook groups for pet sitting and local networks. Recommendations also include a widely known international house sitting program which requires a membership but provides vetted sitters.

I should rephrase. Looking for a long term live in maid/pet sitter. Preferably someone who is good with dogs. I have a 2 year old mini female American eskimo. She is full of energy, affection, loves to eat, sleep and play all day. She does have major seperation anxiety so I don't feel comfortable leaving her home for long periods of time. We work remotely from home but looking to do some travelling on weekends so this would be an ideal situation for us and our fur baby.

"Trusted house sitters" is a international house/pet sitting program. Basically, you pay a yearly membership, they vet the sitters like background check ect and then sitting services are free in exchange for ppl staying at your place. Kind of like WWOOFing for farmers.

in assuming you would need to pick a new sitter everytime? So more of a short term basis?

not sure, maybe even a few weeks at a time. I just learned about it and was looking into from the sitter side. I'm sure longer arrangements could be made if that worked for the sitter.

It's free for host I think, only the sitter pays.

just checked, for pet parents it's $149usd to $299usd for pet parents, yearly. There's different levels of benefits. It's a little cheaper for sitters. That's pretty fair, dog boarding where I live, is about $40/per night.

oh ok. Most local house sitting sites only charge the sitter. I think that's expensive! Unless they're including insurance maybe ?

yes insurance and free vet video calls if needed. It's a whole company with member support like air bnb.

my impression from the site was that the sitter and the property owner both paid membership, but maybe I'm wrong.

You can add one of those for me. If we were allowed to work in Thailand I know what I'd do. Maybe even dog tutoring in physics at this rate.

Where’s the location? I’m working and residing in The States and have rescued pets back home in Thailand. I’ve hired pet caretakers. They are living in my home; no rent just pay for utilities. I paid salary and since there’s not time consumed the husband is working full time and the wife taking on a side job now and then.
