Can anyone suggest the best way to get rid of a car besides selling it or dumping it in some klong? The wife's got a 10 year old car that's giving her too much trouble and wants it gone. I wasn't sure if there was a way to donate it or something.....Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around alternative methods to get rid of an old car in Thailand, aside from selling or dumping it. Suggestions include selling it at a bargain price, donating it to charity, or selling it to a car dealer. There are also humorous suggestions like leaving it unlocked on the street. Concerns about paperwork and liability when giving away or dumping the car are mentioned.

Bruno Fletcher I'll take it off your hands, no worries. Where is it?

Sell it to a car dealer (and give the money to the charity of your choice if you want). If you give it away, or dump it, the receiver will probably sell it anyway, and you wont have the paper work to protect you if it used for some crime.

Leave it parked in the street with the keys in it and unlocked... it will be gone overnight..

Sell it for a bargain price. Give the money to whomever you see fit. This way someone will have an affordable transportation car that they can use. Win win
