Hello everyone I’ve just recently joined the group. I was wondering if anybody can help me. I’m planning a trip in May to Thailand. I would love to go and see a herbal medicine doctor. I have some issues but I don’t want to take medication. I know these ancient herbal medicine doctors have a better remedy something organic. I might open for any recommendation or location. I will do my research when I get there.

Thanks 😀🙏

Chiang Rai Mae Fah Luang Universal Hospital has a separate Building on Campus just for TCM and traditional Thai Medicine. There are some doctors speaking English. One can call for an appointment. Doctor visits and treatments like massage and the cup thingy are really inexpensive. Herbal medicine can be much more expensive. That is, the herbs are costly, not the service/labor.

Darko Gajic good luck with that. The real herbalists are in Chinatown in Bangkok. Also remember that different ailments don't have the same names in Thai translations.

Bachelor of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (B.ATM) ; aka แพทย์แผนไทย are those went to universities for 4 years and passed the required exams. They are at most large hospitals, Udonthani hospital for example. So , which city are you intended of visiting/staying ?

If you are in Bangkok, go to กระทรวงสาธารณสุข there is a Herbal Product Devision , they can guild you to the providers.

Pracheenburj is where โรงพยาบาลอภัยภูเบศ located . It’s known for Traditional thai herbal for hundreds years.

The reason I wrote the names in Thai is that you can show them to the taxi drivers or people when you get there abd they know what you’re looking for.
