Hi All I applied for a non-immagrant O visa with the Los Angeles consulate back on 03APR. Status is at "pending document check". Any idea how long these are taking to process? Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing time for a non-immigrant O visa application at the Los Angeles consulate can vary. One user noted that their application was at 'pending document check' after six days, indicating that typical processing might take longer, extending to around 15 business days not counting weekends or holidays. Another user shared their experience of a different visa type, stating that it took a total of 22 business days due to the need for additional information and the impact of holidays.

I applied for my DTV on Jan 20th 2025. It took 15 total business days then they asked for more information and after 5 more business days I received the Visa.

That included 2 holidays too so the total was 22 business days.

Just for context.

That consulate is FAMOUS for taking as long as they have posted on the website for the eVisa processing

So going by that, IF you applied April 3rd (not counting holidays OR weekends) your application has been processing a total of SIX days

That means (because the 14th and 15th are holidays) it wouldn't be until the 26th when your application process would be at 15 business days
