Closed the loop at CW yesterday for a first time 1 year extension on a non imm O based on marriage.
Was asked if I wanted it to 31st october instead of 26th september (why anyone would chose the former is beyond me). So got stamps for both, I guess due to the amnesty(?)
Everything went smooth, no house visits or anything in the waiting period.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post provides an update on a successful experience in obtaining a one-year extension for a NON-O visa based on marriage. The author shares that they were able to secure the extension smoothly without any house visits, and they received stamps for both the new date of 31st October and the original date of 26th September, likely due to an amnesty. The comments highlight a desire for clarification on terminology and remind readers of the variability in immigration office procedures across Thailand.

I'm going to close this post down. There's 70+ immigration offices in Thailand, and each one has their own policies. Bangkok immigration's policy may not be the same as Phuket (or whatever).
When you apply for most extensions, the full extension isn't given automatically. They give you an "under consideration" stamp that usually is good for a month, while they do whatever background checks (or whatever). You'll return on the date stamped in your passport, and get the rest of the time.
I never heard anyone getting a full stamp rejected when they are under consideration.
Benjamin Hays, I know one guy being asked to show money once showing up to get the full extension. He didn't have the 400k at this time and was asked to leave the country in 7 days... You'll never know for sure what new rules they will come up with...
