Be warned emirates airlines are taking bookings for July and adjusting booking during July for flights that won’t let you board as the stopover is 24 hours and according to UAE legislations you can not legally stop in Dubai for that amount of time . No matter what layover window they give /sell you they eventually change it to 24 hours .

Be careful

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post raises concerns about booking flights with Emirates Airlines for July, specifically regarding the legality of 24-hour stopovers in Dubai according to UAE laws. Many commenters express confusion about the implications of such layovers, share personal experiences with flight cancellations, and discuss the overall uncertainty in air travel due to changing COVID-19 regulations. Some suggest waiting until travel restrictions are clearer before booking flights.

I can't believe people are booking flights with airlines when they know flights are not guaranteed. Why not wait until airlines are operating again?

You know it’s best that people stay where the are because this shit keeps changing like the efn wind. Just sit tight and wait until it’s final to travel freely through the globe. Seems everywhere is imposing the 2 week quarantine or doing what Dubai is doing. So be safe and stay put.

even if you don't leave the airport? if you don't go through security/immigration youre not technically entering the country are you?

@Ryan *******
many countries have strict requirements about airside transit, e.g. US and NZ would not allow even for airside transit without a visa, so it doesn't look exceptional that other countries impose some restrictions on air-side transit.
