"Hello everyone!

I'm reaching out for advice. I entered Thailand on a tourist visa, intending to find employment. However, my visa is expiring soon, and I'm still job-hunting.

Can anyone offer guidance on the best course of action to avoid overstaying?

Answer summary

A user is seeking advice on what to do as their tourist visa in Thailand is about to expire while they are still searching for a job. Commenters provided insights suggesting applying for a 30-day extension at a local immigration office, performing a border run for re-entry if necessary, and noted the challenges of finding employment, especially without fluency in Thai.

Leave before your visa expires.

It's not easy here.

What kind of work are you looking for?

Are you fluent in Thai?

What kind of jobs are you after? You'll have to do the normal extension and border bounce dance until you land something.

Apply for the 30 day extension at your local immigration office.

Once that runs out, you'll need to leave Thailand and re-enter. If your country isn't eligible for Visa exempt then you'll need to get another visa.
