What Should I Do If My SETV Application Might Be Denied Due to Address Issues?

Hi currently in Vientiane doing my first visa run for a SETV (UK passport).

I previously had a SETV but need another one whilst I apply for jobs.

I’ve handed in my paperwork and passport but stressing because it says if I didn’t put a street name for my Thai address my visa would be denied. The residence I live in Doi Saket doesn’t have a street name just a number. I tried explaining this to the lady I handed my paperwork with but she just said I will find out tomorrow if I will be

denied or not.. I have a letter of invitation from my Thai boyfriends mum with the address written in Thai and English. So hopefully that will be enough.

If I do get denied my visa can I still enter on a 30 day exempt or will they put a big fat ‘denied’ in my passport.

I have a few other 30 day exempt from the last two years but they were never extended and simply holidays when I lived in China.

Sorry for the long post I just want to make sure I can get back into Thailand for enough time to secure my job (I already have an offer).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is worried about the possibility of their SETV visa being denied due to not having a street name at their Thai residence. They provided a letter from their Thai boyfriend's mother, hoping it suffices for the application. They are also inquiring if they can enter Thailand on a 30-day visa exemption if their visa is denied, and mentioned previous exemptions from the past two years.

How many months were you in Thailand in 2019?

Vientiane

Tourist Visa, if you had previously some Tourist visas your application will be considered more carefully.

Vientiane is now asking for proof of funds, Book Bank with balance THB 20,000.- up OR print out from Bank account from home country value USD 700.-up.

Onward air ticket is not required, but prepare Rental Contract.

i stayed for two weeks in April on a 30 day exempt and then I entered Thailand with my SETV at the end of October which I extended to give my the full 90 days. I left it a bit late to go job hunting because I was enjoying Christmas for a bit too long.

according my crystal ball, the visa will be denied as Thai people can not read Thai letters with Thai addresses,

WAIT, snowstorm in the crystal ball, yes, all will be okay.

yeah, some people like to tell horror stories all day long.

I prefer a nice fairy tail with happy endings.

(this text sounds different, I'm too long in Thailand)

All addresses have a street name, and not just a number to my knowledge. It should be listed in the bluebook where you're staying.

If you are denied a visa, you can re-enter on a visa exempt by land. You can get two visa exempts by land in a calendar year.

I do not expect them to put a visa marked denied in your passport, I do expect them to hand you back your passport without a tourist visa.

thank you! My boyfriend and his mum are sure there is no street name. It is a remote part of Doi Saket and there am no street names on any online maps either.

It’s reassuring to know that I can still cross the border though if I get denied. Thank you! I am probably stressing too much but I knew I wouldn’t get any sleep if I didn’t ask.
