Hi currently in Vientiane doing my first visa run for a SETV (UK passport).
I previously had a SETV but need another one whilst I apply for jobs.
I’ve handed in my paperwork and passport but stressing because it says if I didn’t put a street name for my Thai address my visa would be denied. The residence I live in Doi Saket doesn’t have a street name just a number. I tried explaining this to the lady I handed my paperwork with but she just said I will find out tomorrow if I will be
denied or not.. I have a letter of invitation from my Thai boyfriends mum with the address written in Thai and English. So hopefully that will be enough.
If I do get denied my visa can I still enter on a 30 day exempt or will they put a big fat ‘denied’ in my passport.
I have a few other 30 day exempt from the last two years but they were never extended and simply holidays when I lived in China.
Sorry for the long post I just want to make sure I can get back into Thailand for enough time to secure my job (I already have an offer).
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is worried about the possibility of their SETV visa being denied due to not having a street name at their Thai residence. They provided a letter from their Thai boyfriend's mother, hoping it suffices for the application. They are also inquiring if they can enter Thailand on a 30-day visa exemption if their visa is denied, and mentioned previous exemptions from the past two years.
