TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a challenge in obtaining a detailed bank statement from their father, who is unwilling to share his expenses due to privacy concerns. The discussion highlights various suggestions from commenters, including the possibility of the father providing a loan instead, suggesting alternatives like providing a bank balance instead of detailed transactions, and noting that some embassies may only require less detailed information.
My bank just game me the document with my monthly cash flow. It was enough for embassy. The transactions aren’t displayed, only amount of money my account receives and loses. And, of course, there was bank details in case the embassy would like to verify it
It depends what embassy you're applying with. I personally sent a screenshot of my bank balance from my banking app with my DTV application in Australia. I didn't provide anything further for the financial side of things and I was accepted. You will find Hanoi for instance, is more strict and requires 3-6 months of holding that balance and records.
Tell him to stop living in the past and provide the info, no one is bothered about his statements they look at them for a min or two. Either he wants to help you or not 🙄
Upload his bank statement but block out the transaction history, if he’s ok with leaving the transaction amount visible, I believe you should be ok but not guaranteed
