American here, applying via Washington embassy. I’m being asked to provide a bank statement for the month of November. Unfortunately for the period my bank statement is generated, I am below the $16000 limit. However, I have an account balance form that shows proof of funds above the limit for this month.
I’m wondering if this will be accepted instead of an official bank statement, and if anyone has tried this before

TLDR : Answer Summary
An American applying for a Thai visa via the Washington embassy is inquiring whether an account balance form, showing sufficient funds, can replace an official bank statement that does not meet the required amount. Responses suggest that it may be risky to proceed without the correct documentation, with some advising to wait until the account statement reflects adequate funds or to apply with both documents to strengthen the case.

It sounds like you already applied. I would submit the account statement and an account balance form along with anything else liquid that may help your case.
If you haven’t applied yet, I would wait to apply.
Wait a month if they require the balance for a certain amount of time - also you can come here on an exempt visa ( 60 days no visa needed and then extend 30 for 1900 ) or buy their 90 day visa come here and change visa over you can extend the non-o visa up to a year while processing another visa just there is a a conversion fee - Han noi Vietnam has less red tape and quicker
Alot of people come over on tourist then goto Vietnam to process DTV
