TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses possible problems at the Padang Besar border when returning to Thailand for those who have already done a border run this year. It highlights the importance of carrying adequate cash, as reports indicate that immigration may require 20,000 THB or its equivalent. It also mentions the unpredictability of immigration officers, suggesting that using a good agency could be beneficial.

And as we told you all your options last week and knowing that there are NO changes in Immigration rules in this last week, I suggest you read all those answers again and make your decision.

And as nobody can take your worries away as we can not predict what an Immigration Officer or a staff member at a Thai Consulate will decide. Living in Thailand using short time visa is a risk, if you go that route it is your choice. It is known out of reports that the southern borders with Malaysia ask for the 20.000 Thb or equivalent currency in cash.

You can do 2 border runs each calendar year ...without any problem, may be they as you where you stay and want to see 20 k in cash, depending, better use an good angency, where are you located
