Applied for a NON O for my father in law. Thru the Sydney Consulate. Applied on the 13th of September. He is scheduled to leave next Monday early morning. Emailed them, no response. Called and no one took the call or called back. Is this usual timeframe for Sydney or Australia?

Same here. Applied Sydney consulate mid September. Went in last Thursday and said I need it for this Monday. I was told it would be looked at in time. Nothing yet and the plane goes at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

Stephen Woods I think we're in the same situation, I also went in on Thursday and they said I will be contacted but could not confirm. I can't check in on Qantas either as they want onward flight it seems. Did you get anything yet?

You can do like I did and enter Thailand on a tourist visa and wait for approval then once approved, take the bus to laos border and cross it and come back with the approval letter for 90 days non-o visa stamp

Tone Tran he's applied for a visa already. So can't enter on one because it's not been issued. He could enter without a visa for 30 days.

Lynnette Munoz I knew that. I also applied but couldn't wait for approval so I flew into Thailand without the 90 days visa, but a few days afterwards my 90 day non-o visa was approved in Vietnam so I did a visa to Laos and got the non-o visa stamped in my passport.

Tone Tran if you know this why not use correct term. Its a 30-day visa exempt.

Same boat here, applied for Non O Sep 9th for Monday Nov 2nd. Went to Syd Consulate they said they can't do anything, just have to wait. Mine says Pending for Decision since Oct 22nd. Not sure what to do with this either
