Ottawa, Canada - DTV workcation

8/18 - applied

status: Pending Document Check

status has not changed since applied date, is timing normal here?

And at what business date # would it be advisable to email embassy for any sort of update? Seems like everyone else is getting approvals/doc requests alot sooner..

I applied through Vancouver on August 5. On August 8 they contacted me with two questions and asked for some additional information regarding my bank statement. I sent the additional information back right away, and I received my approval on August 10, with my visa issued August 11. So mine moved pretty quickly — about 5–6 days from application to approval/issuance. Hopefully yours moves soon!

I applied through Ottawa 2 months ago, and it took around 20 days for approval. Unfortunately Canada is slow with their processing.
