TLDR : Answer Summary
The cost of hiring an agent for visa assistance in Thailand varies significantly based on the agency and the visa type. Prices quoted in the community range from around 10,000 baht to as high as 80,000 baht. Some users report paying 18,000 to 29,000 baht for comprehensive services, while others suggest many tasks can be done independently for free or at a lower cost. There are mixed opinions on the necessity of hiring an agent, with several individuals successfully navigating the visa application process on their own.

You provide all the documents, the agent reads them and gives back.

You apply for the visa with those documents and the Embassy staff makes the decision.

How much would you like to donate to a random person to read your documents?

And make sure the reader has an official and approved DTV otherwise they have no knowlegde about the Thai Minsitry of Foreign Affairs and Thai Immigration.

I was quoted between 60,000 and 80,000 baht. I did it myself instead. Just go online, print out the requirements and get your documents and do it yourself.

I’m just getting started sorting out this process. Can everything be done online or by mail? Or is an embassy appointment needed? Thank you

I'm in Adelaide, South Australia and did my Non.O visa application all online via the official Thaievisa website through the Thailand Embasy in Canberra.

Make sure you do the application on a computer, not phone. All files are to be pdf or jpg

it's really easy to do yourself. It may seem intimidating but I didn't for my whole family and got approved. If you have any questions or need help, feel free to send me a dm.

I paid a total of 18K Baht; this covered the agent and the government fees. Smooth process, caught an error that would have resulted in a rejection had I done it myself, and they not only took care of everything, they guarantee their results. Was sort of a no brainer… use code I1S94UKY and save 500 Baht….

would it be triple that if I am bringing my wife and minor daughter? If not, do you know how the pricing is structured? Or perhaps the DTV isn’t appropriate for us. Thank you

most of the stuff you can do yourself for free or low cost. So an agent will charge you whatever they want and you can either accept it or decline. Every agent is different.
