What is the turnaround time for applying for a tourist e-visa? My visa exemption will expire soon. I am thinking of leaving to a nearby country real quick and come back when it is approved. How long must I be out of the country to get stamped back in for visa exemption? Thanks again for the help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The turnaround time for applying for a tourist e-visa typically requires in-person application at a consulate, as nearby countries do not utilize the e-visa system. There is no minimum time period required for being out of Thailand to re-enter on a visa exemption. However, if you exit by land, you are limited to two visa exempt entries per year. Additionally, if you enter certain neighboring countries like Cambodia, there's a requirement to stay for a minimum of 1 day.
There is no minimum time to be out of the country, though some of the neighboring countries have a minimum time you must stay if you enter the country. I believe Cambodia requires you to stay for 1 day if you enter.
There is also no minimum time to be gone before you can be stamped in again on visa exempt. But if you leave by land, you are limited to 2 visa exempt entries by land per year.
None of the nearby countries use the evisa system. You will need to go to their consulate and apply in-person. Some also require you to make an appointment beforehand.
I did the evisa while in The Philippines so Im not sure if it is completely necessary unless you've been living the last 2 years in Thailand off of covid extensions
