Hi, I searched the group but limited information comes up in regards to applying through the US New York consulate. I will be back in the US for 4-5 weeks over the holidays and I would like to know the processing time for the DTV or if I should plan on applying somewhere in SE Asia when I return. Thank you!

You shouldn't have a problem

IF

you make a profile in the eVisa website first, upload your documents, get everything ready and then as soon as you hit the ground in the US, click the apply button and pay.

That will get the application in and you should get it approved way before you fly back
