I am on an 'O-A' visa and have to do my first extension of stay in August.

I understood that it was necessary to have the full 800K in your bank account 2 months prior to the due date.

But, today I was told it is three months, prior to the due date.

Can you please advise the correct length of time.

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The correct length of time for maintaining the 800,000 THB in your bank account prior to applying for an extension on an O-A visa is at least 2 months before the application date. After the application, it is also required to keep a minimum balance of 400,000 THB for the rest of the year.

There is a process to convert the O-A visa...and get the O visa with extension. Read how by looking at the posts under the TOPIC

"Change O-A visa to O"...

I placed a link on your post.
