What are the recent experiences and document requirements for DTV holders entering Phuket, Thailand?

Just for sharing

I was frequently in and out of Phuket, Thailand with DTV more than 10 times within two years.

No issue at all.

But recently I have been brought to office and scanned my docs for further clarification.

IO requested docs which I was used be applying this DTV.

Company testimonial and employment contract are required and requested.

I just flew into Phuket last week on a DTV. Had the same experience. I had to show my contract, income, bank statement, etc. They asked many questions.

I was with my wife who also obtained dependent DTV.

IO was friendly and told my wife that next time will not be the problem with ur husband.

However, advised my wife to keep all docs which related to DTV of mine if she is alone next time.

Apparently, Phuket has a big problem with illegal workers, so they are more stringent than most entry points. This is not limited to DTV holders, so best to avoid this entry point.

just avoid Phuket. There are well known to give DTV holders and tourist in general a hard time... Everywhere with the exception of Phuket/HKT is fine. Next time try to fly in Krabi its very close to Phuket

Thanks for sharing. There are other reports, mostly from Phuket, regarding document checks as well, although not many. A popular gym also posted a couple of days ago that Immigration had called them to confirm people’s gym subscriptions.
