I'm thinking about to go for a Thai Elite visa (Superority Extension - 20 years for 1 million Baht).
I'am 61 years old, so the terme will be when I 'am 81 years old.
My first question is someone knows what happens when the Elite Visa is finishghed and I'm still alive ?
I guess it never yet happened of course, but that will happen for sure in some years, and I can't find any answer about this question.
It is important as if I am still alive at 81 years, I don't want to have any trouble to stay in Thailand, I don't want to have the trouble to return to an OA visa for example.
I know 20years is very far from now and many many things can happen or change… But if this question is taken in acccount by the Elite Card contract, it will be better.
Is it possible from the Elite Card reglementation to get another Thai Elite Card after the end of the first one, say a 5 years… and so one until death ?
My sevond question still abou the Thailand Elite is : what means this sentence" in the Thai Elite Card documentation " Privilege Entry Visa : Renewable five-year multiple entry visa with EXTENDABLE ONE-YEAR LENGHT OF STAY PER EACH ENTRY " ??????
What deson that means and What happens if I don't go out during a coule of years or more ?
Thanks for any information about that problem.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai Elite Visa, particularly the 20-year option, allows for a unique situation regarding renewals. If the 20 years expires and you are still alive, you can purchase another Elite Visa. The community consensus is that the Elite Visa will notify holders about the expiration and provide options for renewal, including potential discounts. Additionally, the Privilege Entry Visa allows for a five-year multiple entry visa with a one-year extension for each entry, meaning you need to leave Thailand at least once every five years to maintain it. If you stay for a couple of years without leaving, issues could arise with visa validity.
I don't think the 1M is worth to pay at age 61. You can live on Retirement extensions.
I not sure about current interest rates, but I once deposit 1M to time deposit (type which is accepted by Immigration) and get nearly 30k THB in one year. So, if you do this way you can get +600k on top of this 1M in 20 years...
the one advanatage of the EV compared to the Retirement visa is you do not have to have the mandatory Health Insurance for the EV unlike the Retirement visa...this may change or it might not, but that in and of itself is a huge savings as well...
Not the best advice, but personally if I got to 81 at the end of a 20 year Thai Elite, I'd consider just throwing my passport in the river and staying put.
I don't mean to pry, but if you have a million baht and are 61, why not just put 800k in a bank and live off the 'retirement' extensions (yes yes I know not the right term, but commonly referred to as this) for the next 20 years at 1900 baht a year. That would be 38k baht instead of a million. Especially considering that a lot of people don't live until 81.
If you think about, the Elite is equivalent to 139 euros/month for 1 million baht/20 years (but paid at one time).
It's not epensive to be without yearly troubles, thinking of have money in bank, health insurance, waiting to immigration for extension… and so on as The Elite compagny take care about many things for you with its concierge service.
You buy what ever elite visa you want (5 year 500K, 20 year 1 million baht etc). Believe me they'll let you know that your visa is running out and will let you know IF they can give a discount on the next one or not.
