Hi everyone,

I just got my DTV visa approved. Thanks for the help provided 😉

The visa has a remark: Employment Prohibited.

Is this a general remark on all DTV? And what does it mean?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'Employment Prohibited' remark on a DTV visa indicates that the holder is not allowed to work for any Thai or international business while in Thailand. This restriction applies to all DTV visas, meaning the holder can engage in online work for non-Thai clients but cannot have employment or obtain a work permit in Thailand.

It is the general comment on a DTV. You cannot work in Thailand, but you can work online for non Thai firms/customers.

perfect! That was what I expected. I don't intend to work for a Thai company or with thai clients, so makes sense on a DTV 😉

Thanks for a clarifying answer 👍🏼😊

Did you apply for the DTV visa for a WORKCATION ?

If you did, you can conduct your digital nomad services with clients OUTSIDE of THAILAND... 🚫 Not with anyone inside Thailand.

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
