TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shares their recent experience of getting approved for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand after submitting a comprehensive application. They highlight the importance of providing all necessary documents and responding to inquiries promptly. The timeline details the application submission, requests for additional documents, and the final approval date. Commenters express congratulations, share experiences, and ask questions regarding income requirements and accommodation details related to the DTV.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
Anonymous participant 569 In my application I submitted a copy of my booking inquiry that I made that shows the pricing and my planned dates of staying at the hotel. I put a letter to explain my plans and my reason that I didn't confirm the accommodation yet because if the dtv is not granted then I won't commit to a long term booking.
It might also be possible to book a hotel in the area you want to stay that you can cancel or not have pay right away in case not approved.
Anonymous participant 569 no questions asked. Maybe they understood that without a DTV I wasn't going to invest money booking long term accommodation since it would not be legally allowed to stay there that long with other visa options, unless I do the 6 months tourist visa
