I am looking to apply for a DTV1 workation visa, as a PhD student/academic with a regular income (stipend from the Economic Social & Research Council).
Does anyone have any experience with this type of application? There isn't really any other suitable visa that I can apply for?
Thanks for any input!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on applying for a DTV1 workation visa as a PhD student with a stipend income. Community members suggest that proof of remote work capability and a contract allowing work in Thailand are essential for the application's success.
Do you have a work contract? Does it say you're allowed to do your paid research in Thailand? Without that you would be rejected if not applying trhu the soft power category
yes if you can work remotely when you are in thailand and can show proof of income from last 6 months with the job that you will use to suhmit with DTV worlcation. should be no issue
