Has anyone done the Thai DTV interview via video call?
I applied for the DTV through the Soft Power Muay Thai course, and my application has been stuck on “pending approval” for weeks.
I called the Thai consulate handling applications from my country (even though it’s not located here), and they said they’ll contact me soon to schedule a video call interview.
Just wondering has anyone done the interview online? What should I expect?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information about the Thai DTV video call interview process after their application has been pending for weeks. They have contacted the Thai consulate for their country, which is handling the application process, and are waiting to be scheduled for a video interview. Comments indicate that the interview should resemble a standard interview, involving basic questions and potentially reviewing financial documents.
Odd situation. Normally thai consulates expect you to remain in the country you apply from until your application is approved (or not). If you are no longer in that country you risk being denied, and if you are in Thailand then denial is assured
Yes, I included home address info in the application. But I’m asking about the video interview itself do they have any way of verifying your real-time location during the call?
i am not in italy. The thai consulate know that i am not in italy. The consulate I applied through (Rome) isn’t in my country but it covers the jurisdiction for all Thai visa applications from my country.
Anonymous participant then you are fine with your application for the DTV visa in Rome. BUT stay where you are until the decision is known about the DTV visa.
