Good Evening all,

I have just my completed my degree here in Thailand and am currently on my ED Visa till 30 June 2021.

I would like to find out what the procedure is from 30 June onwards, do I need to leave Thailand, cancel my ED Visa and return on a tourist visa, then apply for a non B and work permit?

Or do I get to do that without leaving Thailand due to Covid?

Also, if I don't apply for a Non B, how long can I stay on a tourist visa for?

Looking forward to your responses.

Warmest regards,

Lauren

Summary so far

The post inquires about the next steps after the expiration of an ED Visa in Thailand, including whether to leave the country for a tourist visa, how to apply for a Non-B visa and work permit, and the duration of stay on a tourist visa if not applying for a Non-B visa. Comments suggest that a tourist visa cannot be obtained while in Thailand and that options depend on the future employer and the immigration office.

you can't get a tourist visa inside thailand. So that's out

Whether you can apply for an in country Non-B visa and work permit is totally between you, your future employer, the immigration office and the Ministry of Labour.

At this time the covid extension program runs out May 29th (so that's before your stamp expires)

All you can do is watch the news and see what is available when your extension expires
