Tips for obtaining a Thai DTV based on crypto/stock trading income?
I’m considering applying for the DTV based on supporting myself through crypto trading. I’ve done this for the past five years.
I deposited the required funds into my bank account in April. The account has a five-year history of irregular transfers from realized trading profits, although the balance was usually low because I withdrew only what I needed for living expenses.
I’m considering submitting:
* A cover letter explaining my trading activity and source of funds;
* Exchange/broker statements showing realized trades;
* Bank statements showing the corresponding transfers;
* Evidence that the required balance has been maintained since April;
* Tax or social-security documents, if relevant.
My country does not tax crypto payouts, so I do not have income-tax returns showing this income.
Has anyone successfully obtained a DTV using crypto or stock-trading profits as financial/source-of-funds evidence?
I’d especially appreciate information about:
* Which embassy/consulate you used;
* Whether exchange or broker statements were accepted;
* Whether a cover letter helped;
* What additional documents were requested;
* Processing times and the fastest legitimate application route.
Would a financial-support letter from a parent, together with evidence of their savings, strengthen the application—or would it complicate an application based on my own finances?
Thanks!
