[ED VISA question]

Hi all,

I have applied 8 month ED VISA and expected to received it in March. however, I was injured yesterday and feel an unusual pain on the lower part of my back where I had surgery 5 years ago. I plan to go back to my country however my language school suggests there is risk to be rejected at border when coming back, as ED VISA holders are not suggested to leave the country.

My question is does anyone has experience leaving and entering again Thailand with ED VISA? I wanna know what options I might have and plan for the worst once it really happen cus I haven’t even started my courses yet.

Another question: any recommended hospital in Bangkok for neurosurgery?

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about leaving Thailand with an ongoing 8-month ED Visa and the potential complications of re-entering the country, as their language school warned about possible rejection at the border. They are seeking advice from others who have faced similar situations. Additionally, they are looking for recommendations for hospitals in Bangkok for neurosurgery due to a recent injury.

I would definitely go to Suriraj over Bumrungrad any day, for anything.

Bumrungrad is the best hospital in Bangkok and probably Thailand.

No problems. They looked after my best friend after a cardiac arrest and the care could not have been better.

There was a report last week of 2 people having their ED cancelled when they returned. They had re-entry permits but immigration didn't care. Unfortunately I don't know more details than that.
