Hi there! I was wondering what the “return flight” requirement for the COVID-19 visa extension actually is: must it be to your home nation? Or is any flight departing Thailand suitable? Thank you so much for any advice you can give me.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The return flight requirement for the COVID-19 visa extension in Thailand does not specifically mandate that the flight must be to your home country. Instead, any flight departing from Thailand is generally considered suitable.

Most offices don’t require a return/onward flight. If they are asking for one any flight out of Thailand would suffice.

Samut Prakarn New office. We were denied the COVID extension without a normal 30 day visa exempt extension in place first, unsure if that is typical.
