Just a thought, when extending your visa, do they never question the return flight date?
If Im correct, when arriving one of the things checked is evidence of a return flight?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When extending your visa in Thailand, there is typically no requirement to show flight details. This proof of onward travel is usually only checked upon entry into the country, and primarily by airlines to ensure boarding eligibility for tourists. Those holding non-immigrant visas generally do not need to provide evidence of a return flight when applying for an extension.
A flight out of Thailand is not normally a requirement for an extension.
The only time you'll be asked to show this when you arrive is if they're looking for a reason to deny entry.
It's usually your airline that will ask you to show this, and they may not let you board your flight without it, but only if you're traveling as a tourist. Someone with a non-immigrant visa has no requirement to show proof of onward travel.
