TLDR : Answer Summary
To renew a retirement extension in Chonburi/Jomtien, you must have a minimum balance of 800,000 THB in your Thai bank account for at least 3 months before your application, as well as maintain this balance for 3 months after the extension is granted. Additionally, the balance must not fall below 400,000 THB for the remainder of the year.

okay, Jomtien (Pattaya) is one of the ONLY immigration offices that require you to return in 3 months and show you still have the 800K baht balance in your account.

Remember the seasoning of funds (either before or after) have NOTHING to do with your actual expiration date of your current extension. The date that controls it is the date you APPLY for the extension. So you would need the 800K baht in the bank 2 months before you apply for your extension, it would have to stay in the account for 3 months after the extension was granted (the date you applied) and then the balance couldn't go below 400K baht the rest of the year.

just leave 800,000 in the bank and forget about it until next year that way there won't be a problem . Because if you spend any of it, you still have to replace it

this is the paper they give you Jomtien telling you when to return and show your balance

AND

just so everyone is clear, it has NOTHING to do when when you do your next 90 day report :/

I'm not sure what you're asking, but for Jomtien, I think they require 3 months of 800K THB seasoned before the application, and 3 months of 800K THB seasoned after the application, and not to fall below 400K THB throughout the rest of the year.

, just unnecessary additional info. For 1 year extension being over 50 requires the fund stays in your account for 3 months after your extension starts. This is what the immigration office will check again when you apply for new 1 year extension next time. be careful to maintain your fund.

indeed - I was told to make sure that it didn't drop under 800k before 19th August. As there is 1m+ in there I assured them I would comply...............and, of course, maintaining the balance above 400k for the subsequent period until 2 months before.

sorry if its not clear, its a RENEWAL of a non imm o visa based on retirement, what documents are they asking for? is there a list anywhere

According to

It looks like they need income or proof of savings. There is no such thing as a "renewal" of an extension of stay, you can only get a new one, and it should be the same documents you submitted last time
