What are the requirements for applying for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) for Thailand?

IO said I need a visa if I visit again for 3 months. METV is what I need because I like to leave for a few days  couple of times. I'd prefer not to submit current (checking) account statements and don't have a savings account. Has anyone had experience or relevant comments/advice on submitting statements from a recently opened savings account demonstrating £5-6k over 6 statements which is a requirement. Any useful and relevant advice appreciated.  Please stay on topic though.

If you don’t want to fulfil the requirements then I suggest you find a different country to spend your time in.

You still may have a problem with METV immigration advised you a visa. Did he suggest long term? If not go for a DTV just ฿500,000 in bank for 3 months before application

When I applied for the METV the embassy wanted 3 months of statements. You only need to show the summary page. Don’t show any screenshots with your full account number. And you have to merge them together into one document to upload it. What I did was took a picture of each month with my phone and then used one of those free merge websites off google to make the final document.

What is the problem in submitting the checking account? Even President Clinton was not ashamed when people found out that he had five million USD in his checking account. Do you have more than 100 million in your checking account?

You apply for the METV in your home country and can show funds in your home bank account, you don't need 6 months bank history. If you have a lot of recent history in Thailand a tourist visa might not help though
