@everyone

It is now confirmed that travelers arriving in Thailand are receiving 30-day visa-exempt entry stamps, with the change taking effect from midnight today.

Please plan your stay accordingly.

As a reminder, we offer door-to-door 30-day extension services in Bangkok for 5,000 THB, allowing you to complete your first extension without needing to leave your residence.

If you have enough time to apply for a 60-day Tourist eVisa before traveling, this is generally the better option if you intend to stay in Thailand for longer than 60 days.
Answer summary
Travelers arriving in Thailand are now receiving 30-day visa-exempt entry stamps as of midnight. Expats are advised to plan accordingly, and there is an option for door-to-door 30-day extensions in Bangkok for 5,000 THB. For those looking to stay longer, applying for a 60-day Tourist eVisa before travel is recommended. There are discussions regarding the requirements for the Non-O visa based on marital status, including the necessity of applying from one's home country and specific documentation needed by immigration offices.

Even though you have everything, but you just get married so the officer may ask you to wait for a fews months until you can process your visa.

I'm pretty sure I told you this on your previous post - every immigration office has different requirements. Go to your local office with your wife and ask them what they want. For example, you are listing bank statement and letter - my office wanted both of those but they also wanted a copy of my bank passbook (letter and statements dated on the day of application and passbook updated on the day of application). For the passbook update I simply topped up my mobile using the bank app shortly before I went to the bank to collect my letter and statements.

Any time you go to immigration, take your wife. She can learn what docs, etc are needed to apply for and/or renew the extension in the future. Makes things much easier for you.

Congrats mate, I was in your shoes 16 years ago, I think back then I was on ED, then I waited till that was almost due, then went out and came back in with 30 days and went to immigration with my Thai wife and got it done, but that was back in 2011, things must have changed since then.

You need pictures of you and her at your home. A map to your home. A bunch of ridiculous things. Though you will have to go apply outside of the country first. If you are over 50 it is easier to get retirement visa. It used to be much easier before 2019. They seem to keep adding to the requirements. I remember one time I was asked for another document. Went off and got it, the next day they said they did not need it. 🀣

You need to go and speak to your immigration office. Most won't allow you to apply for a Non-O based on marriage until you've been married for 2 or even 3 months. If that's the case with your immigration office your going to have to leave Thailand and apply for the Non-O at a nearby consulate

immigration has been saying to me that they now require Non O applications online from your passport country only

They told me going to Vietnam was not an option

Immigration has nothing to do with embassies. Never listen to anything an immigration office tells you about visas. Never listen to anything an embassy tells you about immigration. They are not even in the same government agency, they don't talk to each other, they do not understand each other's policies.
