Can anyone share some info on Grand Andaman Ranong?

I have 3 American citizens who were cheated by a Visa company in Phuket and have now overstayed.

They are busy in the process of applying for a Retirement Visa and now need to have a new 30day tourist visa stamp.

One person has a medical condition so we trying to make the process as smooth as possible.

Questions;

Is Grand Andaman Open & easily to do?

Do they need to stay over night?

Any other info is helpful thank you.

Thanks to everyone. End result was fantastic- left Phuket in a comfortable private Van - was able to stop for them as often as needed.

Driver was in contact with person at immigration to meet them.

Paid the overstay, got on the Boat stayed over 1 night in the hotel as recommended by immigration contact.

Back to Ranong next day via boat and back in Phuket. With no problems at all would recommend to anyone.

Grand Andaman is open, but no immigration present, they can try the Ranong/Kawthoung crossing, no need to stay overnight, but they need all 3 proofs ready

If someone has a medical condition, then having to spend 30-40 minutes on a boat each way and fend off touts and non-existent medical infrastructure in southern Myanmar means using Ranong is probably not the best idea. Drive a few extra hours and use one of the Malaysian land border crossings. Much more hassle free, though I will say that the officials at Ranong were very friendly. However, they'll get upset if you bring your own TM6 arrival form from another border because that means they miss out on the 100 Baht fee that they charge foreign arrivals for this.

Unfortunate, but people have to be careful who they deal with. A lot of scammers in the world.

A visa agent cheated you? Naahhhhh! I don't believe that! 🤣🤣🤣

Try giving these guys a call. Always better to use a service than try yourselves. They should check history in Thailand and say if it's possible or not

Outdated information. Proof of vaccination is no longer required to enter Myanmar since July 1. It has reportedly not been asked for at the Ranong/Kawthoung border for some time before then.
