I hope to arrive in HH on April 9th. The one thing I did not consider Song Kran. I was going to take the week to arrange a bank account and visit Immigration. I know the festival officially is 3 days but, when i lived in HH 5 years ago it seemed to last longer than 3 days. Can anyone give me a guess on when it will actually start and finish (banks/Immigration)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is arriving in Hua Hin on April 9th and is concerned about the impact of the Songkran festival on banking and immigration services. Users in the comments clarify that Songkran officially starts on April 13th and that banks and immigration offices will be closed from April 10-14. They suggest completing any necessary arrangements beforehand, especially obtaining a resident certificate, which might take some time.

UPDATE:As I suspected. My friend checked with Immigration and was told that the offices will be closed the entire week of Song Kran. April 10-14. If anyone has visa dealings for that week, check with Immigration to avoid problems.

Songkran starts on 13th this year so I'd get onto it straight away. You normally need a resident certificate and im not sure how long that takes in HuaHin
