I have just obtained my Non O based on volunteering and will be flying from Singapore to Chiang Rai vía Bangkok this Saturday.

Will I still be required proof of accommodation, 20k baht and outbound flight?

If so, would a bus ticket out of Thailand suffice and how accurate does the exchange rate has to be to show the equivalent of 20k baht if I don’t actually want to exchange the money to baht beforehand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers entering Thailand on a Non-O visa may need to provide proof of accommodation, show 20,000 baht in equivalent funds, and present an outbound flight ticket. A bus ticket out of Thailand can be sufficient for outbound travel. Exchange rate accuracy for showing funds in baht is generally flexible, but it's advisable to have documentation that aligns closely with the current rate.
