I used to live there 2023, 24, 25, went home but i asked about getting another retirement visa, but the rules have changed.

How long can I come on a tourist visa?

How many extensions can you get now?

How often do I have to leave before before I can return?
Answer summary
The inquiry revolves around how long one can stay in Thailand on a tourist visa, the number of extensions allowed, and the frequency of required exits before re-entry. Commenters argue that the retirement visa rules have not changed significantly over the years, citing the need for clarification on the potential changes mentioned. For tourist visas, the standard is 60 days with a possible 30-day extension, while retirement visas can be applied for abroad and offer longer stays.

Just apply for a non o over 50 retirement visa in your home country before you leave on the evisa website. You'll get stamped in for 90 days and if you want to stay for longer then open a thai bank account deposit the appropriate funds and apply for the extension of stay which will give you 12months, this can be extended every year as long as you continue to meet the extension requirements

There's been no actual change to the rules and requirements regarding the Non-O based on retirement for many many many years.

What might have changed are the supporting documents that you'd need when applying for your extension of stay. But those vary depending on the different Immigration Offices anyway.

Long term stay is not viable with a tourist visa, even if there are no set number on how many you can get consecutively.

What retirement visa rules have changed? I'm not aware of any changes in the last few years.

As to a tourist visa you get stamped in for 60 days and can extend that once for a further 30 days then you must leave. You can't live in Thailand on tourist visas.

Note that if you actually mean visa exempt rather than a tourist visa that's due to drop to 30 days plus a 30 day extension
