ORIGINAL POSTER
Approved in Jakarta as remote worker.

Processing time 3 business days.

Provided documents:

-Passport

-Copy of passport BIO Data page and all stamps (in color)

-2 passport photos (3.5*4.5)

-Application form

-Introduction Letter (summarized work/tasks, confirmed that I'm able to work remotely, mentioned income and keen interest to stay and work in Thailand)

-Remote working contract (mentioned I can work remotely)- with stamp

-Confirmation letter company (confirmed work and ability to work remotely, with stamp)

-Proof Ownership Wise Account (get it through browser with stamp)

-2 Months Bank Printouts Wise (14k EUR transfered 1 week before applying from other accounts on my name, amount rest of period between 0 - max. 1000 €)

-Proof of Current Location (Airbnb confirmation from airbnb app)

-Tourist Visa Indonesia Approval (pdf you receive per email shortly after Arrival, IMPORTANT)

-Travel Insurance (not necessary I feel like, but underlined ability to sustain for myself)

-5.6MIO IDR in Cash (5 times 1.25MIO through ATMs)

Arrived there around 07:30(2nd), around 09:00 we've been around 15 people.

So they go through your documents in front of you. If everything is fine, you pay and can pick up your passport a few days later.

If they are not fine with your documents, they tell you what is wrong or missing and hand you over the documents to come back another day - in this scenery they doesn't take any money.

Overall very comfortable and smooth process.

BUT TODAY

I've heard that different people applied there and sthey demanded company registration documents, even for freelancers and remote workers. Someone (I don't know if from embassy or person who applied) mentioned they changed this 2 days ago.

So either these are necessary documents for everyone from now on or they just asked for additional documents in these two individual cases, because of reasons.

Good luck 🙏🏽

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience applying for a Thai remote worker visa at the embassy in Jakarta, detailing the required documents and the processing procedure. They submitted various documents including their passport, application form, and proof of remote work. Thanks for the breakdown, seems Embassies are tightening up with registration of companies, gyms etc.
