What are the current bank statement requirements for applying for a DTV visa in Thailand?

Has anyone applied for DTV recently? Just saw that the financial statements required have went down to 3 months instead of 6 months? Would it suffice if i just compile bank statements of 3 months in total?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The financial statement requirements for the DTV visa application can vary significantly depending on the specific Thai embassy or consulate where you are applying, as well as your nationality. Some recent experiences indicate that a 3-month bank statement might suffice at certain embassies, while others still require 6 months. Consistent income and sufficient liquid funds are emphasized as crucial factors in the approval process, regardless of the statement duration.

I applied through the embassy of Hanoi. I only had the money in my account for 2 months but have had consistent income for 6 months and showed that & got accepted!

consistent income is the key word . They want continous flow of money. Not just 500k based on what i have seen with other applicants🙏

Every Thai Embassy has their own way of doing things, so when asking a question you HAVE TO tell which Embassy you want to / applyed at, or it is impossible to give correct answers.

But start by searching the group, for posts about that specific Embassy.

I did it in Hanoi last month and I was only asked to submit 3 months of statements. It might differ depending on where you're applying. My DTV was accepted 3 days later with no problems.

You only get ONE SHOT and you have no idea who is going to adjudicate the visa.I dont see a reason why you would just send 3 statements if you can send all 6. If the officer is not satisfied he will reject your visa and again NO REFUNDS

It depends on which country you plan to apply from. We recommend applying from Vietnam, as a 3-month bank statement is not required there. The DTV visa can still be approved.

However, regardless of whether you’re applying under the online work category or the soft power category, your documents must be sufficient to meet the visa approval requirements.

I just got approved, applying from Hanoi but I was also required to send additional documents, showcasing bank statement for the last 3 months even thou I already sent a statement showing the require amount with liquid funds present in the account..

There is no standard that covers every embassy and consulate. Each can interpreted the requirements differently with regard to how long the 500k needs to be in the account.

It depends on the country of application, and your nationality can also play a role.

From our experience, the embassy will look at the overall financial profile. Applicants with funds in excess of the minimum THB 500,000 or those showing consistent monthly income tend to have a smoother approval process, even with slightly shorter bank statement durations.

We’ve seen several of our applicants get approved for the DTV visa from Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines, even with bank statements covering less than 3 months in some cases.

Requirements tend to be stricter... Not the way around. It depends on the embassy.

Where did you see a change? The whole 6-month, 3-month or 1-month requirement is usually embassy/consulate specific.

Applying through the online Thai evisa website, and selected place of application as HCMC. When I reached the supporting documents page they indicated to upload 3 months of financial statements

Anonymous participant - looking back on old posts, it seems people have been submitting and being approved with 3 months at HCMC consulate for a long time
