TLDR : Answer Summary
Community members shared various experiences and costs associated with purchasing Warfarin in Thailand. Prices for generic 5 mg Warfarin tablets range from 80 to 150 THB for a pack of 30 at different pharmacies, while some users mentioned costs as low as 5.5 THB per tablet at certain locations. Many noted that accessing Warfarin might require a prescription from a public hospital, which often provides medications at lower costs compared to private pharmacies. Experiences and recommendations for pharmacies were also shared, highlighting the accessibility and pricing of medication for expats in Thailand.

Not sure if this is correct, but I tried to get my brand “Coumadin” at the hospital but they only had generic. I was on antibiotics at the time but my inr was out significantly afterwards.

Normally generic medicines are ok but I was told by my pharmacy at home to avoid warfarin generics. So I always bring plenty of

Try Morya pharmacies. We were over our stay due to flight cancellation and my husband found what he needed there over the counter.

All in all it sounds like the prices are about what my co-pays alone are in the US with insurance.

Call into a Public Hospital. Wait patiently... See the Dr. Tell him you are looking for Warfrin and he will write you a Script for them.

If there is no numerical Restrictions on them... then he will write you a script for 3 months.

You will pay the Thai price for them. There is no Farang Pricing for Drugs in Thai Public Hospitals...

Graeme Drake Out of curiosity, where are you buying low dose aspirin? I have only been able to get it from Medisafe, which is great but a big trip for me. It seems to be very hard to get here, pharmacies all talk vaguely about regulations.

Deslea Selmes at my local pharmacy, the 80mg I'm told is the highest in Thailand back in NZ I received 100mg. First time here 2020 showed the pharmacy my NZ prescription and from then on no problems.
