Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for the DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) on my own soon. My plan is to do it through a Muay Thai course.

Could anyone recommend gym options in either Bangkok or Pattaya that offer official DTV packages (specifically 9 or 12 months) and provide a money-back guarantee if the visa gets rejected?

I'm a bit anxious about the whole process. Even though I easily meet the financial requirements ($500k THB) and everything should technically go smoothly, I’m still terrified of getting rejected. My biggest fear is paying for an expensive long-term course upfront and then getting stuck with the costs if the embassy says no.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you can't spell your own name then you saved yourself the cost of a flight too! Every cloud has a silver lining ☁️

Sadly (for you) data entry errors, that you don't catch before you submit the application result in the automatic cancellation of the application and you have reapply and pay again

This is from the Thai consulate in Tokyo when you click eVisa link

I wish they had this pop up on the eVisa website..

If you can't follow simple instructions maybe you should stay home.

So ironically, when I did it wrongly as said, the receipt they sent me, was perfectly correct. I sent in a new application today this time correctly as what is the first name and surname as guided by the embassy but the receipt came for the so called correct way, was shown a wrong jumble up name 😑😑

This is discussed endlessly by the embassy, the group and myself.

Unfortunately the computer has to be able to read your passport page and you have to enter exactly the same characters in the same order.

Otherwise the computer rejects your application and keeps the fee.

I imagine this is challenging for people with very long names, multiple parts to their name and family and given names reversed.

It’s very sad to see that some people are not able even to enter their names right when applying for a visa.🤦‍♂️ Yes, of course you have to resubmit and of course you have to pay again. Maybe for second time you will get your name right🙄

No way to save application. Many people rejected for this reason. Only silver lining is that your application has not been DENIED. Resubmit, but this time be extremely careful, triple check, and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Mine was cancelled and they asked me to reapply using the exact same name order as in my passport. We Burmese don’t have a family name/surname, so it can get confusing sometimes.

I reapplied, and yes paid again and got the visa 5 days after the resubmission. The first application was in HCM and the second one was in Hanoi.

Pretty disgusting that they keep the money when they cancel the application when dealing with many different languages and nationalities. Typical Thailand.

Definitely gone. I mistakenly assumed the “fill in bio data” would properly spell my name, but nope. Missing an L.

Your name must be exactly as in your passport, exact spelling, exact order in which the names are written on your passport.

Sorry to say you lost your application and fee.

Have to start again 🫣

An agent does not guarantee approval, plenty of rejections via agents.

They can write your name correctly though.

Not all agents can, some

"agents" who post here struggle with spelling as well as the application requirements.
