I'm currently about 4.5 months away from my relocation to Bangkok, Thailand and I'm seeking out LEGIT realtors and other expats for information regarding: best areas to live w/n Bangkok areas, DTV information, etc. etc.!

Come and stay in hotels first get a feel for what you like. Different areas etc.

For example On nut maybe be suitable for me but not you.

Same like Asoke ,

Same as Ari and so on so on.

The biggest regret most people have is getting locked into a lease the first week.

You need to see the areas at different times of the day,

What public transport is around etc etc.

I highly recommend book a week or two in the following areas.

Rama 9 / Asoke

Ari

On NUT

Sathorn

Nonthanburi ( out side Bangkok )

There is so many nice areas in Bangkok just depends on what you want !!!! And what sort of lifestyle you want to live !
