TLDR : Answer Summary
Users recommend several trustworthy language schools in Bangkok for those looking to obtain an ED visa. Notable mentions include Duke Language School, Walen Bangkok - International School, and Sandee Thai Language School. It's important to clarify that while there is no one-year ED visa, students can initially obtain a 90-day Non-ED visa, with the possibility of extensions based on school attendance. There are distinctions between legitimate schools offering quality education and those acting as visa mills.

Hands down the best thai language school IN Bangkok and possibly the entire country is DLS (Duke Language School, 3rd floor Trendy Building Sukhumvit Soi 13)
Are you wanting to go to a school to actually LEARN thai
OR
Are you wanting to enroll in a school simply to get an ED visa and further your stay here under the guise of pretending to learn thai?
There is a HUGE difference between a visa mill school; one that will give you the paperwork to get the in country 90 day ED visa and the 90 day extensions but where you don't need to show up or study) compared to a real language school; one that will also give you the paperwork to get the in country 90 day ED visa and extensions BUT where you need to attend class because they won't fake attendance records.

First off there is no "one year ED visa" what you will get when you come here on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry stamp is paperwork from the school to go and apply for an in country 90 day Non-ED visa. Once you get that you will get more paperwork from the school to go get an extension every 90 days <- which you can do for up to a year.
