TLDR : Answer Summary
The community shared various budget-friendly hotel options for the Phuket Sandbox that offer shuttle services and assistance with COVID-19 testing. Suggestions included Rawai Palm, Four Points by Sheraton, Seabed Grand Hotel, and Amata Resort, with prices ranging between 2,400 to 9,000 Baht for varying lengths of stay. Several users emphasized the importance of booking directly with hotels for SHA+ certification and better assistance regarding testing requirements.

SHA Hotel book the test for you and send you link to pay the test - this normal. After paying they send you email with papers for Thailand pass - send them email to book test- they also make transfer. Money is same when they book

I booked at Amata in Patong. Used booking dot com for free cancelation as I booked for a month. It says it is sha+ but I entered under test and go in Bangkok so you would have to contact them to be sure. I got 80% off for the month booking.

,I booked Rmar resort and spa, rang them direct, 7700THB for 7 days, or 8400THB if they pick you up at the airport, but I saw Twin Sands resort, somewhere, really top class resort for the same price, Agoda I think

So, since I have to book the tests myself anyway, can I just book any hotel on Agoda that’s listed as “SHA Plus+”?

i am doing it as we speak, when you do the Thailand pass they give an option to book your PCR test, the first one is at the airport when you arrive and the second is at an area close to your accommodation, you chose on a map in the area you do the sandbox

I have found several times it was easier to book direct with the hotel for SHA+.

yes but in the majority of cases you will still need to contact the hotel directly to get your SHA+ cert for which you will have to show you have booked and paid your PCR tests before you can apply Thai pass

Four Points by Sheraton, fabulous hotel. They will also provide your SHA Taxi shuttle from the airport on arrival.

You need to book your PCR but the hotel provides all the links to do so.

You will have one on arrival at the airport and one day 5.

I stayed at Rawai palm i thought was good value. You have to register pcr tests yourself. Did hear the marriot and double tree hilton were assisting people booking pcr tests

okay. Maybe I misunderstand how the sandbox works? It’s not like the test and go or AQ where you must have a special transport to the hotel? The day I arrive can I just freely get my own testing done and get taxis etc. so long as I show up at the hotel that evening?

, you need to have transport straight to the hotel from the airport. Testing is done at Phuket Airport. You need the hotel, insurance, and testing booked before doing Thai pass, as you need those receipts to enter into Thai pass.

It looks like the ASQ website doesn’t distinguish between packages that include travel and testing and those that don’t.

I heard Agoda had listings but I don’t see that they distinguish properties that include transport and testing either.
