Should I stay 2 nights on the lake at Khao Sok National Park or split my time between the lake and the village?

I need advice for anyone who has gone Khoa Sok National Park. If given the chance would you stay out on the lake for 2 nights with Longtail boat rides and hike to see wild animals or 1 night on the lake with long tail boatand 2 night in the village and do cooking class and hiking.

I'm having a tough time deciding

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around choosing between two options for a trip to Khao Sok National Park: spending 2 nights on the lake with longtail boat rides and wildlife hikes, or 1 night on the lake followed by 2 nights in a village engaging in cooking classes and additional hikes. Users suggest that being on the lake offers a unique nature experience, while cooking classes provide a lasting skill. There's debate on the activities available after dark and the availability of cooking courses elsewhere in Thailand.

Can do Thai cooking class almost anywhere in Thailand. Enjoy being out in nature and make the most of the physical activities on offer

Consider that the cooking classes give you something you can impress your friends and family with afterwards. Thai food is world famous for a reason...hehe.
