Hey group, I had a question regarding the Educational Visas

I have been hearing rumors That Chiang Mai Immigration, put a temporary hold on new in-country education visa applications. No reason nor a deadline has been given in this update. I was told it was Many schools, including language and boxing schools.

Is this true? Or dos that just applies for certain countries that have been flagged.

TLDR : Answer Summary
There are rumors that Chiang Mai Immigration has placed a temporary hold on new in-country educational visa (ED visa) applications, affecting various schools including language and boxing schools. Commenters note that similar situations occurred in the past, hinting at possible ongoing restrictions, as over 10,000 ED visas were revoked recently. It's advisable to contact schools directly for accurate information regarding the situation.

It's well known by now since more than 10 000 ED visas were revoked last week that more is coming.

I haven't heard this, but it wouldn't be a surprise. Something similar happened during the last crackdown a few years ago when they also cancelled a bunch of ED visas and over 100 immigration officers were punished.

I would just try contacting a couple schools and ask them, they are the ones who are most likely to know as it would be affecting their customers.
