TLDR : Answer Summary
Individuals in Thailand can apply for multiple Covid visa extensions as long as they remain available and meet application deadlines. The general consensus is that there isn't a strictly defined limit on the number of extensions, but approval can depend on the discretion of immigration officers. It's advised to apply ahead of time and be aware of the potential for a 7-day exit stamp if a request is denied.

Whatever you decide to do, don't delay until the very end. That way, you can have time to explore options in case they won't approve your extension.
I have never been issued that 7-day....but I believe they add it to whatever your existing date stamp says. Just note that once you get the 7 days to exit stamp in your passport, you don't have ANY options anymore other than leaving. So don't take that stamp if you think you might have some other options (e.g. student visa, marriage, retirement, etc.). But those take time to do, which is why it's best not to wait until the last day.

If you're still on a tourist visa/visa exempt there's been no defined limitation, except at this point you have up until March 25 to apply. The concession may/may not be extended past this date. That depends on the mood of the government a day or two before that date.
So are you saying we can apply for a 60 day covid ext visa a second time?
I came on a 30 day exempt, then extended 30 day, then had a 60 day covid visa. I can get another 60 day covid visa?

Sa Bari. You can most certainly APPLY for a further extension. Whether it is granted or not is at the discretion of immigration. Not everybody gets one, so it's a hit-and-miss scenario
I can understand the officer’s decision because it showed the flights weren’t cancelled. I will definitely try one more time to extend based on the same reason again that my country is still in lockdown! Thanks for the heads up !

Sa Bari. In that case get a letter from your embassy saying you cannot return at this stage. That will do the trick
Do you know however if I should apply for it at the same immigration office (Chiang mai) where I got my Covid extension? Or can it be a different immigration office? Im currently in Bkk.
